STEP 1 - MEET REQUIREMENTS
The Fritz Kennel has established certain prerequisites to ensure the safety and well-being of both pets and our staff. It is advisable to administer vaccinations a few days prior to your visit to The Fritz, to allow the vaccines sufficient time to take effect, offering improved protection for your pet. Furthermore, some pets might experience adverse reactions to vaccinations shortly after receiving them. To streamline the process, we suggest having your veterinarian email vaccination records before your evaluation. Alternatively, you can bring a physical copy with you when you check in.
Requirements for All Dogs:
+ Current on Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella (Kennel Cough)
+ At least 4 months old, with all rounds of vaccinations completed prior to coming in. Puppies are still developing their immune systems at an early age, thus there is a higher risk factor for them in any kennel environment.
+ Spayed or neutered if over 8 months
+ Must not exhibit aggressive behavior towards other dogs or people
+ Must play well and socialize well with other dogs
+ All dogs must be on a regular flea preventative.
Requirements for All Cats:
+ Current on Rabies and FVRCP
+ All pets must be on a regular flea preventative.
STEP 3 - EVALUATION DAY
Every new dog that boards or attends daycare at The Fritz Kennel undergoes an evaluation day, which is simply a free day of daycare. Throughout this assessment, our team will introduce your dog to the play environment and closely monitor their behavior in this social setting. This procedure serves a dual purpose: it enables us to ensure the safety and compatibility of all dogs visiting The Fritz, while also acclimating your dog to our surroundings.

Evaluations are by appointment only. Once your dog completes the evaluation, you are free to book boarding and daycare as needed!
